Here’s where I’ll give you the lowdown on the ’site...

Emsbrynart is a lot of things, but in summation, it’s a place where you can buy clothes that act as more than just things to dress yourself with. I create these tees in hopes that when they’re worn, they show the person across the street that they’re safe with you. This clothing is made with the idea that when you turn around, and a young queer kid can read the back of your shirt, they see someone in public who wants them to succeed, thrive, and be able to grow up.  As a queer + mexican kid, I sought out these cosmic signals a lot, and wanted to make clothes for you all, by someone like you all.

I’ve always been inspired by passing connections like this. I love reading people’s bumper stickers, backpack pins, keychains, etc, and getting a passing read on who they are. As an artist, I knew I wanted to contribute to the little personality quirks we showcase in our day to day lives. I began screenprinting as a means to mass produce these designs in a sustainable manner, ensuring that each item I created continued to be handmade. So regardless of if you’re sporting a pro-safe-immigration tote bag, a girl kisser shirt, or a queer bumper sticker, you’re signaling to someone else that their life matters to you. And to play the quietest part in that interaction, to be the bridge between you and a stranger, will probably be the greatest honor + pleasure of my entire life.

Frequently asked questions…

- Will you ever restock this specific shirt?

Short answer…no

Long answer…Well, I can’t! Each tee is 1 of 1 because everything is 2nd hand, and, hand picked by me. Because this process is imperative to my work, no single clothing item can be restocked. This also ensures that each item is irreplaceable, special, and uniquely yours.

- Can I send you my own clothing item to print on?

No, not here! The essence of emsbrynart is that we’ve repurposed a shirt together, we’ve blocked one more clothing piece from a possible landfill fate. It’s also mostly that I would hate for the postal service to lose your personal item, and for me to not be able to prevent that from happening.

- When will you bring back this old design?

TBD! I cycle through designs as they become tired to me. Often times designs exist for 1 to 4 months before leaving the website. That being said… both ‘Newsflash’ and "‘I love my girlfriend, that’s my boy’ will never be leaving the website.

- How do I wash my clothing item?

Machine wash (cold for longevity) and machine dry!

- Do you ship internationally?

Yes, DM me on instagram or email me to sort out shipping costs for you

- Can I return my order?

No. Given the exclusivity of each item, and that each item will inevitably have wear, returns are not accepted. Email or DM me if you’re concerned with your order, and I will do everything in my power to ensure you’re happy with your order :-)

- What does shipping look like?

Each order is shipped in fully compostable or 2nd hand shipping supplies. Zero plastic is involved in the making or shipping of your order. All orders are shipped within 3-6 days of being placed, and will take 3-8 days to get to you via first class priority shipping services.
